新闻: 環境局：麻坡及哥打‧要求啟動“處理煙霾協委會”
星洲日報, 21 Jun 2013 （吉隆坡20日訊）天然資源及環境部長拿督斯里巴拉尼威說，隨著柔佛麻坡及哥打丁宜的煙霾情況越來越嚴重，環境局要求國家安全理事會啟動“處理煙霾協調委員會”。 他在文告中說，他將在下週三到印尼雅加達跟印尼環境部長會面，並討論煙霾的課題。 “目前，在印尼發現的熱點多達173個，其中大部份源自蘇門答臘，馬來西亞只有83個熱點。” 另外，他於晚上接受《馬新社》訪問時說，柔佛哥打丁宜的煙霾情況越來越嚴重，空氣污染指數也可能在一個小時內突破301點的危險水平。 他說，他密切關注各地方的煙霾情況，並每小時接獲最新的報告。 他說，麻坡的學校已暫停上課，孩子們也不應該出外。他本身將在明日親身到麻坡瞭解情況。 Source
