厄爾尼諾恐重臨‧東南亞澳洲旱災南美水災
Sinchiew, 8 Mar 2014 （美國‧華盛頓7日訊）美國氣象學家預料，厄爾尼諾現象將於今年夏天和秋天重臨，令東南亞地區和澳洲出現旱災，南美州出現水浸，影響農作物收成。 美國氣候預測中心週四發表每月研究報告，指原本於春天結束的厄爾尼諾現象，有50%機會持續至夏季和秋季，令太平洋的海水持續變暖，天氣繼續反常，導致東南亞地區和澳洲，天氣炎熱出現旱災，影響甘蔗和穀物等農作物的收成，而南美州亦會暴雨成災，該中心自前年以來再發出警告監測氣候變化。 厄爾尼諾現象於1998年，為亞洲和澳洲帶來反常天氣，造成超過2千人死亡，數十億美元農作物受損，而最近一次的厄爾尼諾現象於2009年發生，當時北半球的氣溫驟降，幸無造成人命傷亡。 Source
