Air Pollution Index in Pekan Baru Indonesia Reaching Hazardous

According to the latest Air Quality Index (AQI) at Pekan Baru, Indonesia, its reading is in increasing trend over 400, which is at the Hazardous Level. Based on the current wind pattern in the region, the thick haze from Sumatra might reach Peninsular Malaysia on our Malaysia Day. Kindly update the latest API reading from the Environmental Agency, as well as the media, and avoid any unnecessary outdoor activities on Malaysia Day.

Update from AOICN on 9:00 pm 15 Sep 2015 showed PM10 AOI at Pekan Baru reached 323. While final checking at BMKG website showed AOI already over 440 at 11:00 pm. (BMKG)

Based on the wind pattern data from ASMC, high possibility of the thick haze from Pekan Baru will be transferred to the Peninsular Malaysia on 16 Sep 2015.
