News: Malacca flood evacuees return home, Selangor still has 47

KUALA LUMPUR: Only 47 flood evacuees, all in Selangor, still remain at a relief centre, according to the National Security Council Thursday.

The council’s portal said these evacuees, from 16 families, were being housed at the Genting Sanyen hall in Kuala Langat.

It also said that all the evacuees in Malacca had returned to their homes.

Meanwhile, the Drainage and Irrigation Department has advised people living along Sungai Linggi in Kampung Mantua, Mantua, Negri Sembilan, to be on the alert for floods as the level of the river had reached 36.7 metres, above the danger level.

It said on its portal that as at 5pm, the level of Sungai Rembau in Titian Bintangor, Negri Sembilan, had exceeded 6.52 metres, the danger level. – Bernama
